| Liverpool have won 19 of their 23 games in all competitions under Arne Slot |
Diogo Jota marked his return with a late equalizer as Premier League leaders Liverpool twice came from behind with 10 men to secure a draw against Fulham at Anfield following Andy Robertson’s red card.
Jota, out injured since October, scored in the
86th minute after Rodrigo Muniz had given Fulham the lead. Cody Gakpo had earlier equalized for Liverpool with a header from Mohamed Salah's perfect cross after Andreas Pereira's 11th-minute opener.
Liverpool's challenge intensified after Robertson was sent off for denying Harry Wilson a goalscoring opportunity, a decision confirmed by VAR. Despite their numerical disadvantage, Liverpool fought back, with Gakpo's second-half header sparking a revival. Fulham, unable to capitalize on the extra player, were later punished when Jota's late strike secured a dramatic draw.
The match featured a chaotic first half with an early yellow card for Fulham's Issa Diop and a disallowed goal for Liverpool's Robertson. Fulham took the lead through Pereira’s deflected shot, but Robertson’s dismissal gave Liverpool a tough task.
Liverpool kept pressing, with Gakpo's quick-fire header after the break drawing them level. Muniz then gave Fulham the lead again before Jota's timely finish ensured the spoils were shared.
In the end, despite the red card and constant pressure, Liverpool maintained their position at the top of the league, while Fulham continued their strong start to the season.
